Hey Nacho have you ever considered adding Millennium, Cosmic Odyssey Action Comics Weekly? If you have read them where would you put them?

Millennium crosses over with GLC 220-221, so if you added it in, it would likely need to go with those issues, right before GLC ends. ACW starts almost immediately after the end of GLC, so that’s pretty much a straight continuation, albeit with a more Hal-centric focus. Cosmic Odessey… that’s a tougher one, as it’s not really a GL story, yet it has a pretty significant GL historical event taking place within the pages. It was published concurrently with some of the ACW stories, but since CO has Jon and ACW has Hal, I’m not sure the exact best reading order or if it matters at all. As long as they both read before the start of the new GL series in ’90, you’re probably good (I have never read the ACW stuff, so I can’t swear to it). While I read the CO trade a dozen times as a kid, I have come to the conclusion that I really don’t like the New Gods or all that Kirby Fourth World stuff. Thus I personally wouldn’t include CO. Maybe make a nice recap page of the relevant events (from Who’s Who, wikipedia, etc) and stick it in before GL v3. That’s just my .02.

Thanks! Have you read the Legends event?
I was going to start my binds with #172 should I go further back? I’m not sure if I’ll like a lot of the older stuff…what issues should I sample?

#172 is a pretty good jumping on point. It’s Jan-84. They take him back to earth and start a new direction. Len Wein and Dave Gibbons take over the book. The older stuff is ok, but the only reason I went back further is because I wanted to bind all the Mike Grell issues from the mid-1970′s, and I just did the stuff between then and 172 for completeness.

I have not read Legends. What I have heard isn’t all that flattering, but I cannot personally comment either way.
