1/25/14 Been a while since I’ve last updated but here are volumes 8-10 which I’ve bound within the last year.  Volume 10 ends Geoff Johns run on Green Lantern…it may be a while before I bind more GL.

3/15/12 Kind of weird that it’s almost been a year since my last GL batch but I’ve posted some pics of GLs Volume 7 and Brightest Day!

3/20/11 Pictures of my three new volumes centering around Blackest Night added! (Annotations and Black Ring percentage chart from http://sites.google….dblackestnight/) .  I’ve also had some success with creating dust jackets for volumes 3 and 4 using instructions from a friend.  Look for a post on that in the future but in the mean time I’ve added some pictures of the dust jackets.

5/28/10 Four volumes of Green Lanterns.  Collects Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Ion and the Sinestro Corps War as well as some sketches and extras I’ve packed in. I’ve got a signature from Ron Marz and two sketches from Ethan Van Sciver. The Sinestro sketch also has a signature from Mike McKone.

The binder did misspell Sinestro as Sinistro on the spine of Volume 3 but it’s hardly worth complaining over.

Back from the brink!  Hal Jordan has been reborn as a Green Lantern once more and with his return can the Green Lantern Corps be far behind?  Find out in this volume as the Guardians begin to take steps to rebuild the Corps and just what exactly is Guy and Kilowog up to?  Who is going to be the new Lantern of Sector for 1417?  Has Kyle lost control of his Ion powers?  Find out in this volume which collects issues of Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and Ion.  (You could also start this bind with Green Lantern Rebirth).

Vol 2: A Darker Green

Now that the Green Lantern Corps has returned they face many challenges some old and some new! Hal meets up with the Dark Knight, Ion (Kyle) faces one of the largest losses of his life and Guy just wants a vacation! Collects issues of Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps & Ion.

*There should be some Guy Gardner one-shots or mini series that may fit in these volumes.

Vol 3: Sinestro Corps War

At last the war begins! After years of plotting and recruiting Sinestro is ready to unleash fear into the Universe. He has come to the realization that there is strength in numbers so he creates his own Corps to challenge the Guardians and the Green Lantern Corps. But who is his benefactor? And do the Green Lanterns stand a chance against the Sinestro Corps and Sinestro’s new allies? Collects issues of Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, and different Sinestro Corps one shots.

You can also add Blue Beetle 20 after Green Lantern Corps 17 like Dry Bones did.

Vol 4: War of Light

Following on the heels of the Sinestro Corps War, this fourth bind collects Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and a few choice one shots. After the Sinestro Corps War the power of the emotional spectrum has exploded challenging the Green Lanterns with all new foes! It all leads to DC’s next mega event, Blackest Night!

Vol 5: Blackest Night part 1

The event that will rock the DC Universe is here! In the wake of the War of Light darkness has returned to claim the universe. Beware as the dead shall rise!

So it all begins here in this volume. I decided to take a different approach to binding this event since I have and will continue to bind all my Green Lantern books. I have placed all the non-Green Lantern (and non-essential) stuff in a supplemental volume that can be read between this volume and volume 6. So in essence if someone was reading my Green Lanterns binds volume 5 and 6 will have perfectly smooth transition and pacing. They only focus on the Lantern stuff with a one shot or two that does not relate to Green Lantern but to Blackest Night. If the supplement is read inbetween the volumes then you get the whole DC Universe experience. There are maybe one or two continuity errors (mainly Black Lantern Superman) but nothing that will ruin the story.

Blackest Night: Supplemental

This supplement volume has all the DC Universe spanning titles that are not essential to reading Blackest Night. It gives you a view of every non Green Lantern hero of villain as they face off against the rising Black Lanterns who come to feast on their hearts.

Vol 6: Blackest Night part 2

The dead have risen and laid claim to the hearts of their loved ones and the mastermind behind the Black Lanterns stands revealed! The end of all life is coming. Can Hal Jordan and the rest of the Lanterns manage to clutch victory from the jaws of defeat? One thing is for certain, the DC Universe will never be the same!

Now in this volume I get a little bit creative with the issue splicing. (Shout out to bluedevil2002 for some splicing revelations.) The Flash issues does not vibe real well with the bind since it introduces the Rogues as a new element. If you’re not a big Flash fan or not big on having every Blackest Night issue then I’d say leave it out. I also put Adventure Comics and Green Arrow right where they are since it deals with the “new” Black Lanterns. The Black Lanterns in each will have small background appearances in other books that may not fit a linear continuity.

Vol 7: Brightest Day

Dawn has arrived and even though the Green Lantern Corps have been beaten within an inch of their lives they have survived the Blackest Night. Too bad they do not have much time to catch their breaths! As the Brightest Day Era emerges new threats surface that begin to challenge the bonds within the Corps. Guy is on a secret mission that may lead him to fall out with the Corps, Hal has taken it upon himself to gather representatives from each of the colored Corps to hunt the Entities while Kyle and John have their hands full with an Alpha Lantern revolt! Also featuring the launch of a third Green Lantern book! Emerald Warriors!

With all this going on no one has noticed a lone hooded figure that pulls their strings from the background. As he executes his insane, nefarious plans no one in the Universe maybe able to stand against him, not even the Guardians! Who is this person? And why is he hunting the Entities of the emotional spectrum?

Brightest Day happens at the same time as this bind.

Brightest Day

Once dead, twelve heroes and villains have been resurrected by a white light expelled deep within the center of the earth. Called a miracle by many and a sign of the apocalypse by others, the reasons behind their rebirth remain a mystery.  Now, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Deadman, Jade, Osiris, Hawk, Captain Boomerang and Zoom must discover the mysterious reason behind their return and uncover the secret that binds them all.

Vol 8: War of the Green Lanterns

The Corps has been compromised! With the entire Green Lantern Corps against them, the four Earthborn GLs – Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart – make a choice that will rank among the most memorable in GL history. But not all of them agree on what has to be done and what lines can be crossed. Can these warriors overcome their differences in time to save the universe?

(Revison the third: Let’s face it, the reboot basically picks right back up where we left off. It’s a natural progression thus no need to jump to a new volume)

Vol 9: Fall of the Corps

The Spectrum is under siege! Slowly all the different Corps are finding themselves in dire straits! As a new menace called the Keepers begins their march across the space sectors the Green Lantern Corps find themselves outnumbered by an enemy who is immune to their rings! Then Atrocitus finds himself haunted by his past. Who is Abysmus and how does his return spell the end of the Red Lanterns?

When Green Lantern Kyle Rayner found one of each of the multi-colored Lantern rings in his possession he found himself hunted by members of the other Lantern corps. Now the mystery must be put on hold as Odym, the homeworld of the Blue Lanterns, is under attack! Can the new Guardians work together long enough to save Odym and then find out who stole their rings? Finally Hal Jordan and Sinestro find themselves investigating a crime that leads them deep into the homeworld of the Indigo Tribe. As their situation grows more and more hopeless, the unlikely team of these two Green Lanterns uncovers a secret that will change the GL Corps forever!

Vol 10: Rise of the Third Army

The Green Lantern Corps face their greatest threat ever when the Guardians deem them obsolete and raise The Third Army to replace them! With Hal and Sinestro nowhere to be found the Third Army spreads across the cosmos like a plague.  It is up to wrongfully accused Simon Baz to clear his name and become the hero that the Corps needs in order to get to the bottom of Hal and Sinestro’s disappearance.  Meanwhile Guy faces a crisis that makes him resign from the Corps!  Depressed, lost, ringless and back home on Earth, Guy tries to make the best of it…but what will he do when the Third Army’s invasion begin!  An invasion which has finally reached Atrocitus and Red Lanterns home world!  And what exactly is John and Fataility up to in deep space?  Then Kyle finally decides to must master the emotional spectrum itself in order to stand a chance against the Third Army. But even then, a more dangerous threat lurks in the shadows.  By creating The Third Army the Guardians may have also unleashed a far more dangerous threat…who or what is the First Lantern?
