The Marvel Universe marches towards Infinity! While the Avengers have their hands full in deep space with the enigmatic Builders who are razing worlds the cold war between Wakanda and Atlantis heats up into a full-scale conflict as casualties begin to pile up…and an Illuminati member is forced to make a hard choice. Meanwhile the mad titan Thanos makes his world-shattering return to Earth! As his armies fire the opening shots a slew of the Marvel Universe’s best and brightest heroes face off against Thanos’ invading hordes, including Luke Cage and his new team of Avengers!  Then as Thanos’ secrets are revealed, Blackbolt makes an impossible choice and the Illuminati find themselves on the front line! As every Origin Site on Earth goes active, the Builders take aim at Earth! Can the Avengers return to Earth in time to save it, when betrayal in the Galactic Council has left them prisoners of war? Galactic empires fall as Thanos’ crazed plans come to fruition and our heroes are caught between battle fronts with Thanos and the Builders!

Here is my ongoing Avengers binds…  It contains all the Avengers books and related titles bound in order search the site for my maps ‘Modern Avengers’.  I’ve also added some sketches and some other extras.  The first four have Buckram covers to which I created dust jackets.

Also like to shout out and give credit to where it’s due over to Corwin.  His map influenced the beats a little bit for the Secret Invasion trilogy. I condensed down to the story so that it’s a little simpler but you still get the overall picture. So, go check out Corwin’s Secret Invasion trilogy map. It’s pretty cool how he’s got some of the beats towards the end.

The Skrulls have slowly infiltrated the Earth by strategically placing themselves in important and unimportant positions.  For years they have gently nudged events to weaken Earth’s defenses.  The Avengers were Disassembled, the mutants were Decimated and brother turned against brother in the Civil War.  While not directly influenced by the Skrulls all these events paved the way for the Invasion.  The Secret Invasion.  When your mother, father, brother, sister or neighbor could have been replaced by a shape changing Skrull who can you trust?

After my custom spliced Emma Frost bind I truly realized how customizable binding really is.  A majority of the material before Secret Invasion #1 bridges gaps between my other binds and Secret Invasion…little did I realize how important some of them truly were.

This is not a complete mapping of every book from Secret Invasion.  Some are essential and others are just fun to read.

Volume 1: The Infiltration

For years they have walked among us. Planning. Waiting. Replacing us. No one knew. Until now. Nick Fury is back! As the war with the Skrulls reaches a fever pitch, we get the answers to many of the event’s most compelling questions: Where is Nick Fury, and what has he been up to? Who are the mysterious “Caterpillars”?  Meanwhile, the Avengers are trapped in the Savage Land, battling friend and foe.  And Spider-Man runs into Steve Rogers! But is it really him?   Could this the return of Captain America?

Plus the story of what happened to the world’s most lethal assassin!  Elektra once led the world’s most lethal band of assassins! The revelation of her Skrull impostor sent shockwaves through the Marvel Universe, and the mistrust that followed tore at the fabric of the Avengers’ unity. Now, with the Secret Invasion of the Skrulls in full force, the secrets of her abduction are laid bare.  This story rewinds to the events of the very first New Avengers story and shows how it connects to the invasion.

Volume 3: Embrace Change

The shape-shifting alien race known as the Skrulls have secretly spent years infiltrating every super-powered organization on Earth with one goal: full-scale invasion! And now, the invasion is here! Every corner of the globe is under attack leaving the Marvel Universe is in shambles. Nova, the X-Men, the Thunderbolts and She Hulk struggle to hold the Skrulls back. Even Deadpool tries to do his part by switches sides? Wait, what?

The Skrull’s plot to take the Earth was almost executed perfectly but the heroes may have found a sliver of hope! Reed Richards has discovered how to reveal the Skrull’s true form! With their ability to hide now useless the Skrulls have no choice but to make their final push to victory. But will the combined might of Earth’s heroes and villains be enough? The final battle for the fate of the Earth ends here!
