Both series jumped ahead into the season 2 timeline.  MMPR #40 picked up after the White Ranger joined the team, as well as the new Red, Yellow, and Black Rangers.  GGPR #21 started shortly after the beginning of season 2 and proceeded to catch up to the status quo at the beginning of MMPR #40.  MMPR #40 starts with a recap of the end of Shattered Grid that can easily be moved to the beginning of the volume.  The last few pages of #50 jumps ahead in time slightly and leads directly into the next volume.
