Upon it’s cancellation in 1988 DC quickly launched the follow-up series Checkmate. This was also done in the deluxe format of the day.

While I’m doing 2 volumes of Vigilante and 1 volume of Checkmate you could also create 3 volumes of Vigilante ending at 14 & 32 and splitting Checkmate after 19; unfortunately the pesky Janus Directive is directly in the middle of the series.
