Valerie Cooper launches a new government mutant response intiative to replace the now defunct Freedom Force. Led by Havok the new X-Factor consists of Polaris, Wolvesbane, Multiple Man, Quicksilver, and Strong Guy (don’t ask).

I’m a big fan of Alex Summers / Havok, so this was a neat series to see him highlighted out of Cyclops’ shadow. Clearly the first half of the series was better than the last half, but it reads nicely. Being 32 issues long at least gave Howard Mackie an opportunity to flesh out the [...]

These are my favorite issues of Uncanny X-Men and the original X-Factor series from the 1980′s. You can’t get better than Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, The Brood, Genosha, Inferno, and the Outback Era of the X-Men. The mutants ruled the 80′s and these are some of my favorite comics to this day.
