Yeah, while gaining the ion power was significant to Kyle from a historical perspective, I wasn’t that crazy about the actual story. Truthfully, it wasn’t really a significant story until well after the fact when the Ion power concept was revisited. I debated that one for a while, but ultimately decided that these were not archival records that needed to be 100% complete but rather a collection of books that I really wanted to reread. Thus I left it out.

I only included the last couple of issues from the Ion mini because they sort of put a full-circle endcap on that phase of Kyle’s career – that story hearkened back to Kyle’s early adventures with Donna circa ish 70.
