Volume 78: The Heroic Age

In the wake of Second Coming, the X-Men deal with the changes in their world. Friends have died, lives are changed-but is that a light on the horizon? The new world begins here!After suffering heavy damage during Bastion’s attack on mutantkind, the city of San Francisco is rebuilding. Hoping to aid in the reconstruction effort, Cyclops tasks a team of X-Men – including the newly arrived mutant messiah, Hope – to lend a hand. But when something goes terribly wrong, will the X-Men lose everything they fought for?

Then New Mutants who are still left are licking their wounds on a forced R & R trip. While they try and put themselves back together, others are looking to take them apart. A strange secretive military group has an agenda involving Illyana Rasputin. And they don’t want to give her a medal.  Finally, Wolverine promised Cyclops that X-Force would disband–he lied. A secret society has resurrected En Sabah Nur, putting into motion events that will turn this age of heroes into an Age of Apocalypse! To hold them back, Wolverine and Archangel bring together Fantomex, Deadpool and Psylocke to form The Uncanny X-Force! Stained by their history, they are the only ones capable of making the hard resolutions necessary. A band of likeminded friends and mercenaries set to one purpose, one big ugly task–kill Apocalypse by any means.

Volume 79: The Curse of the Mutants

A vampire bomb is set off in San Francisco’s Union Square where dozens are covered in blood. Soon everyone touched by the blood falls victim to a strange manufactured virus, including the X-Men’s own Jubilee! Xarus, son of Dracula, plots to create a new breed of vampires by using the X-Men?! However the X-Men fail to yield causing Xarus to bring an army of bloodsuckers to conquer Utopia! As the X-Men are confronted with this deadly vampire threat, Namor takes matters into his own hands on a mission that might bring down the entire might of the vampires on their heads…and destroy Atlantis in the process! Plus: Deadpool gets hired by a bunch of good Draculas to fight some bad Draculas – and no, they don’t sparkle! Wade takes on the rebel vampires in a hospital fight and even manages to rescue the girl! Wait, sorry, he shoots her in the leg!

Volume 80: Age of X

It’s a new age for the X-Men. Cyclops and company have declared it a time to be heroes. But strange rumors have come to the attention of the X-Men, and Storm and her team are off to New York City to investigate. What do they find in the dank sewers beneath Manhattan? Only New York’s favorite wall-crawler has the answers.

There are innumerable and varying potential futures awaiting mankind. Between them exists only one constant, only one common thread: the rise of the Deathloks! Seeded in our present, they grow, a time virus spreading across all possibilities, infiltrating the fate of mankind and they have one main directive: Fantomex must die!

Then, in a world where the X-Men never existed, and mutantkind has been hunted to extinction, the few remaining mutants have banded together to make their last stand. They spend each day in their stronghold, Fortress X, beating back the anti-mutant forces that would see them wiped out. But when a conspiracy is discovered within Fortress X itself, could it be that mutantkind’s last bastion will crumble from the inside out? And when the dust settles, no one will be left unscathed.

Volume 81: Unfinished Business

Magneto is an X-Man. This may not be news to you, but only a handful in the Marvel Universe know that the poster boy for Fearing Mutants is now living just off the coast of one of the United State’s largest cities. How on Earth are the X-Men going to explain the presence of one of the world’s most infamous super villains? While Cyclops, Emma and Wolverine are off in Japan dealing with giant monsters, something dire happens that demands the X-Men’s attention. With their leaders away, should the X-Men deny their help? HELL NO! Storm, Colossus and Kitty Pryde join Beast and Agent Brand to take on the Brood. Are Storm and her crew up to the task? And what is Cyclops going to say when he learns of this?

Speaking of Cyclops, he is sick of unfinished business coming back to haunt the X-Men, so he’s tasking the New Mutants to finish it. Their first mission: Find X-Man. Nate Grey returned in DARK X-MEN, but ended up in the hands of Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. With the Dark Reign at an end, where is X-Man? Plus Rogue and her team of X-Men are on an intergalactic search and rescue mission, hoping to pull their long lost teammates from the fray. Volume 82: Dark Angel Saga/Schism

The X-Men are used to being feared. When Fear Itself finally reaches the West Coast, they’re going tobecome well acquainted with the emotion first hand. The unstoppable Juggernaut is marching step by step towards Utopia, and they have all the time in the world to realize how little they can do to stop him as an offer by the Serpent’s servant puts human and mutant at each others’ throats, one X-Man makes a selfless decision in an attempt to halt the Juggernaut’s rampage- but will there be any going back?

Apocalypse’s heir, Archangel, has picked up where his predecessor left off, amassing an army of En Sabah Nur’s greatest servants! The only hope X-Force have of saving Warren Worthington from the dark entity that inhabits his soul rests in a dimension where Apocalypse, and his technology, took over the world: the Age of Apocalypse! Plus: someone has wiped out a small town in Northern Montana and in its place a new alien landscape has grown. What is Tabula Rasa? And how does it’s coming reflect the end of the world as we know it?

It’s never been a more dangerous time to be a mutant. Even with their numbers at a record low, the world refuses to trust mutantkind. And after a mutant-triggered international incident, anti-mutant hatred hits new heights. Of course it’s at this moment, when the mutant race most needs to stand together, that a split begins that will tear apart the very foundation of the X-Men. A line will be drawn and each X-Man must choose a side and when the dust settles, the X-Men landscape will be irreparably changed.

Volume 1: We Don’t Need Another Hero

Landau, Luckman, and Lake want Deadpool to rebuild himself as a hero – but he’ll be lucky to pull himself together as he is! His healing factor’s down, and the only thing that’ll juice it up is a dose of the Incredible Hulk’s blood – administered by the Weapon X alumnus who helped make Deadpool what he is in the first place! Not even mad science can mend a torn heart, though, as Deadpool’s infatuation with X-Force’s Siryn is challenged by another! Then, betrayals both real and imagined on all sides set Deadpool up for a grudge match with archenemy T-Ray, one that leaves our horrific hero stabbed in the heart both figuratively and literally! As low as he’s ever been, can he really rise to the challenge Landau, Luckman, and Lake have set up for him? But even as he’s recovering from defeat by his worst enemy, his oldest enemy is on the way, cutting through Weapon X alumni! Plus: The Merc with a Mouth meddles with a classic Lee/Romita Spider-Man story, with both versions featured here!

Volume 3: Cruel Summer

What happens when Deadpool crosses paths with royalty? Volume 4: Funeral for a Freak

Plus, Deadpool is hired to steal the Rhino’s horn and protect Dazzler, and gathers new allies Sandi Brandenberg, Ratbag, Outlaw and the Taskmaster.
