Unfortunately, Marvel ended the compendium trades after “Trials of X”, so I switched to a mix of individual series trades and single issues for the “Destiny of X” era and then single issues for “Fall of X” and beyond.

I heavily referenced the Way of X blog when putting the map together to determine best chronological order, and the “Arguments” section of that site will explain a lot of issue placements.  Some issue placements have been determined by how the issues were reprinted in the “… of X” trades to minimize “scan-and-print” efforts.

This volume contains issues from Dawn of X volumes 1-7 and 9-11, as well as the X-Men/Fantastic Four TPB.  There is a one page story from Marvel Comics #1000 featuring Apocalypse that I included, and used it as the back side of one of the text pages or covers that I needed to print out.  The reason that the New Mutants issues skip around is that the focus of the book was split – half of the team was in space in issues by Jonathan Hickman, while the other half was still on Earth in issues by Ed Brisson.

Picking up the pieces in the aftermath of the Dark Angel Saga Fantomex and Ultimaton must allow the world’s most powerful weapon to leave their care. Psylocke must say goodbye to the man she loves. And new friends must stand and make a suicide march. But is this the end of X-Force? Volume 78: The Heroic Age

In the wake of Second Coming, the X-Men deal with the changes in their world. Friends have died, lives are changed-but is that a light on the horizon? Volume 80: Age of X

This may not be news to you, but only a handful in the Marvel Universe know that the poster boy for Fearing Mutants is now living just off the coast of one of the United State’s largest cities. Volume 82: Dark Angel Saga/Schism
