This set of books is the modern reboot of the Avengers and related titles starting with Bendis’ Avengers Disassembled. It includes Secret War, House of M and a few other mini series. Also included is Young Avengers as well as ALIAS and Pulse since Jessica Jones has become an important part of the Avengers.

Alias: Jewel

Once upon a time, Jessica Jones was a costumed super-hero, just not a very good one. Her powers were unremarkable compared to the amazing abilities of the costumed icons that populate the Marvel Universe. In a city of Marvels, Jessica Jones never found her niche. Now a chain-smoking, self-destructive alcoholic with a mean inferiority complex, Jones is the owner and sole employee of Alias Investigations – a small, private-investigative firm specializing in super-human cases. In her inaugural arc, Jessica’s life immediately becomes expendable when she uncovers the potentially explosive secret of one hero’s true identity. But her wit, charm and intelligence just may help her survive through another day. Thrust into the midst of a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels, has Jessica burned too many bridges to turn to old friends for help? Plus: Jessica travels to upstate New York to investigate the disappearance of a teenage girl rumored to be a mutant in a prejudiced small town, goes on a date with the Astonishing Ant-Man, teams up with Jessica Drew, the original Spider-Woman; and confronts the demons of her past!

Avengers Vol 1: Disassembled/Secret War

An Avenger considered dead shows up on the doorstep of Avengers Mansion and all hell breaks loose. A massive explosion results in the death of an Avenger and the team is thrust into disarray and cast into confusion. Before the day is out more Avengers will join the number of the fallen. But perhaps the worst of all will be the revelation of those responsible for the carnage. As betrayals run deep and recriminations come to the fore, the repercussions of this signals the end of the Avengers.

When Nick Fury discovers a disturbing connection between many of Marvel’s deadliest villains, he assembles a ragtag team of the MU’s most misunderstood heroes for a secret mission to do what the U.S. Government could never allow – eventually leading to a super-powered blowout between a who’s who of NYC heroes and mutants!

But who are they? Where did they come from? And what right do they call themselves the Young Avengers?

In the wake of the systematic destruction of the original Avengers, just what sort of threat to the world could persuade Captain America to assemble an all-new team? How does Cap, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine sound? Fate has brought them together, and now Captain America wants to make it permanent! Who will take his hand and join the new Avengers? And will they be strong enough to fight the mysterious forces at play around them?
