Boom started up a Power Rangers series that picked up right after the Green Ranger joined the team, and then followed it up with a spinoff that took place slightly earlier in the timeline.  They sort of overlapped for the Shattered Grid event, but not enough where you need to have both series intertwined.

Both series jumped ahead into the season 2 timeline.  MMPR #40 picked up after the new White Ranger joined the team, as well as the new Red, Yellow, and Black Rangers.  GGPR #21 started shortly after the beginning of season 2 and proceeded to catch up to the status quo at the beginning of MMPR #40.  MMPR #40 starts with a recap of the end of Shattered Grid that can easily be moved to the beginning of the volume.
