Here’s a map that I don’t expect anyone to follow exactly. I don’t even think I would do it close to this same way if I ever did it again. For some reason, I got interested in the Midnight Sons line from Marvel. I’m not a big Ghost Rider fan, but I was intrigued mainly by Darkhold and Nightstalkers. Somewhere along the way, I decided to add Morbius, and then ended up getting a good chunk of Ghost Rider issues to set up the Siege of Darkness crossover. And thanks to crossovers and guest appearances, I couldn’t just do simple volumes in the middle of each individual series. Thus, a strange mash up collection.
Volume 1: Rise of the Midnight Sons
Ghost Rider #25-26
X-Men #9
Ghost Rider #27-28
Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance #1
Morbius #1
Darkhold #1
Nightstalkers #1
Ghost Rider #31-32
Morbius #2-4
Midnight Sons Unlimited #1 (first story)
(I had to make a copy of the pop up centerfold of GR #25. I just copied the two actual story pages, not the pop up, since it was basically one non-essential panel of art. I got the X-Men/Ghost Rider TPB for GR #26-27 and X-Men #9. It condenses the X-Men issue slightly, as well as adds two pages from X-Men #8 for backstory. Not a good TPB if you’re an X-Men completest, but fine for GR.)
Volume 2: Supernatural Redeemers
Darkhold #2-4
Nightstalkers #2-4
Midnight Sons Unlimited #1 (Darkhold/Nightstalkers/Morbius stories)
Morbius #5-6
Darkhold #5-7

(Each issue of Marvel Comics Presents had four 8-page stories. By this point in its run, it had a flip-book format, with two stories on either side. While #143-146 are all labeled as part of SoD, only #145-146 have all four stories that are part of the storyline. #143 only has 1 out of 4, and #144 only has 2 of the 4. The Nightstalkers issues at the end of the book aren’t part of SoD, but since they are the last three issues of the series, and by that point, my interest in the line is done, I added them to the end here.)
Oh how I wish I held on to my issues of this. I remember loving these titles. Especially the Joe Q drawn short in Rise of the Midnight Sons Unlimited #1.
