Add to favoritesThis was a linewide event for all 2099 books. However, most of them stayed relatively separate. And reading just Warren Ellis’ run on Doom straight through makes for a stronger story than mixing them all up. So, here is a simple map.
Doom 2099 26-35
2099 AD: Apocalypse 1
Doom 2099 36-39
The last four pages of Doom 2099 #39 are written by Tom Peyer and set up the next arc. I cut them out here and placed them in my 2099: World of Tomorrow book.
This book includes Warren Ellis’ entire run. He did script #24-25 over John Francis Moore’s plots, but those should be included in an earlier volume. Doom isn’t really in the Apocalypse one-shot except maybe a cameo, but neither does he show up in #34 of his own title. Ellis also wrote 2099 AD Genesis #1, but I included that in the World of Tomorrow book, since it more sets up FF and X-Nation, and also Daredevil 2099. It sort of gets away from the Doom plot in that one.
The ONUD story officially begins in #29, which comes with two covers – one is the regular standard cover, and the other is a clear chromium overlay cover. As a collector, I went for the fancy one. As a binder, I traded it in for the regular one.
