Uncanny X-Men was the last of the core Marvel series to get relaunched, maintaining its original numbering until #544 in 2011. Ironically, since that point, the X-books have become the messiest in terms of relaunches and legacy numbering. There has been very little consistency over the years in maintaining legacy numbering on the covers, much less with the actual titles of the books.

Meanwhile, the two series simply titled “X-Men” during the Krakoa era were included in the “Uncanny X-Men” numbering.
